Using an iPhone HEIC photo?
On a Mac, open the photo in Preview, choose File → Export, and select JPEG. For new iPhone photos, Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible saves JPEG files. Keep the original photo and avoid sending a screenshot when you can.
